Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mura (the "App"), provided by Pale Blue Software Ltd. (the "Provider", "we", "us"), handles information. The short version: your conversations stay on your device. The longer version is below.

1.Private by design

Your prompts, your conversations, and the responses the AI generates are processed entirely on your device. They are never sent to us, never sent to a server, and never used to train any model. There is no account and no cloud sync.

Mura runs language models locally on your iPhone. Your conversations are saved on your device so you can return to them in your chat history, but they stay on your device — they are never sent to us or to any server, and we have no way to read, access, or recover them. You can delete any conversation at any time from within the App.

2.Information we do not collect

  • Your conversations. Prompts, chat history, and AI responses stay on-device and are never transmitted to us.
  • Your identity. Mura has no sign-up, login, or account. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
  • Your precise location. We do not collect GPS or precise-location data.
  • Your contacts, photos, or files, beyond what you explicitly provide within a conversation (which remains on-device).

3.Information we do collect

To understand how the App is used, keep it stable, and improve it, we collect a limited amount of anonymous, aggregated diagnostic and usage information through third-party tools. This information is not tied to your identity and does not include the content of your conversations.

Usage analytics

Via Google Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel, we collect anonymous events such as which screens and features are used, app opens, approximate session length, app version, device model, operating-system version, and general (coarse) region inferred from your IP address. We use this to see which features matter and where the experience can be improved.

Crash & performance diagnostics

Via Google Firebase Crashlytics, we collect crash reports and performance data — for example, the type of crash, the device and OS version, and a technical stack trace — so we can find and fix bugs. These reports do not contain your conversations.

Remote configuration

Via Google Firebase Remote Config, the App fetches configuration values (such as the recommended model or feature flags) from Google's servers. This request involves standard technical data such as your device's IP address, handled by Google as part of delivering the service.

4.Model downloads

When you choose to download a model, the App requests the model files directly from third-party repositories, principally Hugging Face. As with any network request, your device's IP address and standard request metadata are visible to that provider in order to deliver the files. These downloads are governed by the provider's own privacy policy. We do not receive the content of these requests.

5.How we use information

  • to operate, maintain, and improve the App;
  • to diagnose crashes and fix technical problems;
  • to understand which features are used so we can prioritise development;
  • to deliver remote configuration and roll out changes safely.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

6.Third-party services

The third-party services described above process data under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — see also the Google Privacy Policy;
  • Mixpanel (product analytics);
  • Hugging Face (model downloads).

7.Data retention

Conversations and downloaded models are stored on your device and remain there until you delete them within the App or uninstall it. The anonymous analytics and diagnostic data described above is retained by our third-party providers in line with their standard retention periods, after which it is deleted or further aggregated.

8.Your choices

  • Limit tracking. You can limit ad/analytics identifiers system-wide in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and → Analytics & Improvements.
  • Delete your data. Deleting a conversation in the App removes it from your device. Uninstalling the App removes all on-device data, including downloaded models and chat history.

9.Children's privacy

Mura is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because AI models can generate unpredictable content, the App is intended for a general, mature audience.

10.Security

Keeping your conversations on your device is itself the strongest privacy protection we can offer. For the limited anonymous data we do collect, we rely on reputable providers that use industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11.International users

The anonymous analytics and diagnostic data described above may be processed on servers operated by our third-party providers in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Those providers apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers under their respective privacy frameworks.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new policy on this page. Significant changes may also be highlighted within the App.

13.Contact us
